Senior Fisheries Biologist

We have an immediate opening for Senior Fisheries Biologist. This person will manage and conduct fisheries studies, environmental impact assessments, and a variety of other projects.

Successful candidates must have expertise in the following areas:

  • knowledgeable in their field
  • good project management experience
  • data management and analysis
  • report preparation
  • client liaison
  • interdisciplinary team supervision.

Mandatory requirements include:

  • excellent knowledge of aquatic ecosystems with specialties in fish ecology and/or fish habitat
  • 5 years experience in your field
  • experience with regulatory approvals
  • Masters of Science degree
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate Biologist

We have an immediate opening for an Intermediate Fisheries Biologist and an Intermediate Aquatic Specialist. These persons will conduct aquatic environmental studies and a variety of other projects.

Successful candidates must have expertise in the following areas:

  • knowledgeable in their field
  • field sampling protocols
  • data analysis and reporting

Mandatory requirements include:

  • good knowledge of aquatic ecosystems
  • 1 to 2 years experience in your field
  • Masters of Science degree
  • good written and verbal communication skills

Temporary Positions

Mainstream regularly hires individuals on a contract basis. Qualified individuals must have an education in environmental science at the collegial or university level and must be willing to work in the field and laboratory.
